JAMES ARTHUR - SHORT BIO 2023

He has one of the most recognizable voices in pop history, and when James Arthur released his first hit single “Impossible” back in December 2012, who could have guessed that it would be the kick-off to a decades-long career, including 4 studio albums to date (and another one on the way!), 16 billion sold units (audio/video streams/downloads), and countless sold-out gigs at some of the most legendary venues across the globe.

His album “Back From The Edge” debuted at #1 UK in 2016 and went multi-platinum worldwide, with all other albums (“James Arthur”, “You”, and “It’ll All Make Sense in the End”) charting within the top 3 of the UK charts with ease. But it was his smash hit “Say You Won’t Let Go” that really took things to a whole new, if not to say historic, level. Today, the track boasts nearly 4 billion worldwide streams alone, spent a whopping 43 weeks in the UK charts, and landed at #1 in more than 10 countries, achieving multi-platinum status across the globe. The timeless track recently achieved Diamond Status in the US with 10 million certified units – making James Arthur one of just 100 recipients of an RIAA Diamond Single certification in the program's history. And while new music is always highly anticipated amongst his fans, even his old tracks, such as “Train Wreck” (from 2016) can be seen celebrating revivals on TikTok in recent years.

33 million monthly listeners on Spotify and being one of just a handful of artists that have accumulated over 1 billion streams in total speaks for itself, not to mention the fact that the list of his collab partners features some of the biggest names in the business today: Anne-Marie, Sigala, John Franceshi, Alok, Martin Jensen, Rudimental, Marshmello. With tracks ranging anywhere from pop and R'n'B, to soul, rock, and even rap, James Arthur has proven time and time again that his powerful vocals know virtually no boundaries. Fans adore the way his voice gets under their skin, and right now is a very good time to be a James Arthur fan because following the release of his most recent album „It’ll All Make Sense in the End” from 2021, a new album is currently in the works!
